Still going through old art and deciding to share some of it. This is another commission that has once been done by @nimatkaja-cetacea. And it was for The Lesser Evil, one of my Castlevania longfics. You can argue whether or not this is an OC or not, given that this is actually Mathias Corvinus, the King of Hungary at the time the Castlevania Netflix show takes place. And, well, in the story he is eventually making a deal with dark forces, which obviously makes a lot of sense given what universe this is. (And yes, the historical figure of Mathias Corvinus is one of the people that the game character of Mathias Conqvist was based on.)

hello! honestly the national history textbooks in like 5th grade are where it all began, they just had really nice illustrations and always fascinated me. and lately i've been combing through pdfs for any useful reference images

here is my pinterest board. i cannot say that it's perfectly accurate, but it's what i look at when i draw conquest era clothing
