I was inspired by another blog's ask game and I want to crack open my old medical texts more, so! Send me an ask with the year published and a page number between 1-800 (i have too many huge textbooks) and I'll give you either a fact or a cool illustration from that page. (This is a good time to remind my followers that when I post gore, medical or otherwise, I DO NOT TAG IT. I will be tagging these asks as "medtext asks" if you want to avoid them entirely.) If the book doesn't have that page number I'll skip backwards by hundreds until it does.
From the bottom up: 1981, 1931, 1922, 1887, 1901, 1981-A, 1916. (Note that the Victorian book on abortion is about miscarriage, not the medical procedure.)
