Finished "Cultish" by Amanda Montell some time earlier. It's pretty decent but the pitch is slightly misleading- rather than being focused on linguistics, it's more anecdotal. If you're not familiar at all with cults, high-control groups, or anything at all that could be said to have a "cult following," then it might be worth a look. But I personally found it a bit tedious as someone who's already aware of these groups. I wish there was it more meat to it. It took me longer than I'm willing to admit not just because of personal events happening but even though it was decently written, there wasn't enough to hold my interest.

If you want a summary, it's fine. But don't expect anything new. The humor and cheeky chapter titles can only go so far.
