TTS Secret Santa 2025

I'm so excited that I finally got this commission done for @pennumbra and @xannerz!!! They asked for something from the Loyalist AU, essentially where Hector joins Cassandra after she takes the moonstone. It's an AU I like to discuss and think about with them from time to time. I decided on showing how good of a weapon Hector could be in the right hands. I also had a lot of fun designing Cass's armor and a new outfit for Hector.

Quirin regretting taking on a new squire with their group after being appointed leader.
I saw a base for this somewhere and the Brotherhood immediately came to mind. I imagined this back in the day, before the kingdom fell, in their glory days. While they are an amazing and efficient team, they still have their weaknesses. Quirin hesitantly agreed to taking an aspiring squire with them on a recon mission. It was a valid concern. Hector found a small group of the enemy nearby and wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to take them out. Then, the new squire mistakenly threw out a rare, pungent spice from another continent that Adira had recently acquired. This is the chaos that ensued.
Quirin keeping Adira from pummeling the new squire, who is now regretting his entire life, and snagging Hector, who was trying to take the opportunity to slip away unnoticed. Quirin is debating whether tying them to separate trees would be better than holding them all until everyone calms down. The bear cats, rhino, and horses are somewhere close, but off to the side acting like they don’t see what’s happening. I love some good Brotherhood shenanigans.
I feel you Quirin, I feel you man. This is my celebratory sketch that I'll be a stay at home mom again later this week and I'm actually really looking forward to it. Hoping to focus on my art and writing a lot more, as well at my kiddos. We're definitely going to be watching some TTS as well.
Amelia has a bit of a book obsession…
I FINALLY got some art done! I’ve been desperately trying to for a few weeks now and not for a lack of trying. Having two littles under age 4 who are interested in art has its drawbacks. 😂 That said, I’m figuring out ways to keep my iPad safe.
I’ve had these ideas for quite some time now. On the left, it’s when Amelia has found so many different Dark Kingdom books in the library and she’s going a bit crazy from the excitement. Then on the right, Hector has to step in to get her to bed, because she can’t control herself. The little doodle in the top middle is later that night. Amelia asked if she could at least sleep with the book and Hector gave in. Now he’s grumpy because she’s cuddling with a book instead of him. In the upper left corner and lower right corners are some book titles I figured out. I meant to do more, but my brain has been a bit fried as of late.

Well, I meant to have a lot more done in terms of art and writing at the end of this year, but there's be a lot going on. Between kiddos being sick (and myself very recently), hospital visits for family, and just the in general shenanigans I haven't had much time to work on anything. I have a Christmas piece that's still in the works and I will hopefully finish that up soon. So until then, have some Hectira doodles!! I've been working on these for awhile and I'm very happy with them. Although I still need to work on my bear cats, he looks like a scrongly boy in the worst way.
