"the gain in the last of the three gain stages can be selected as fixed or variable. The gain in the first stage is always variable and the gain in the second stage is always fixed. The boost function also inserts a second level control, allowing the boost volume to be increased over the normal volume.
The PCB has some last minute "enhancements" added; the white box cap adds a treble boost for more sparkle and the odd angled SMD caps reduces an unforseen weakness (advertised as a feature) in the boost switching network. New PCB version is in the works.
And the gold theme has been substituted with a steam punk theme, with all it entails of weird knobs and indicators. The indicator "bulb" is bi-color, yellow filament for active, and pink filament for boost function."
