Do you have any advice for a beginner with SFM? Your work really inspires me!

Aw thank you so much! That makes me really happy to hear. :3

The best advice I can give is to watch/read tutorials and to not be afraid to use references for poses and such. SFM doesn’t provide much in it’s interface in terms of teaching tools, so that’s why I always reccomend tutorials.

Valve has a really basic set of tutorials that is mainly video making based. But I really like Jimer Lins' Tip of the Day videos and Zachariah Scott’s casual tutorials and guides. I’ve also started making a playlist of my fave video guides so if you’d like to check that out.

References are one of those things people never like to talk about, but it’s actually really helpful. To see what a pose should look like makes it so poses don’t look super stiff and uncanny. You can also get up and act out a pose. I do that a lot and it’s really helpful.
