Luke is 20 years old and lives in the same neighborhood as Eve, together with his little sister and their mother.

Luke saw Eve before the catastrophes started. They went to the same school (he was a year over her) and sometimes he saw her while strolling to the streets.

The first time he talked to her was approximately two years ago. He noticed a phone flying through the air and saw a sad and angry Evette sitting in front of her house. He cheered her up and invited her to eat with his family. His little sister loved Evette and soon they became best friends.

They tell each other everything. Eve is kinda like another sister to him. He told her what the catastrophes took from him and he listened when Eve told him about her past.

Both love to make challenges and races for each other. He is taller than her but she is more agil.

When Eve got kidnapped, he was very worried. He searched for her for weeks but never left his family for long. Just disappearing was not Evettes thing, so something had to be wrong but he can’t lose his sister and mother ether.

Little did he know, that more chaos was coming for him.

Fun Facts about him:

- his full Name is “Luke Benson Rymer” and sometimes I type “Rhymer” (haha, I’m just stupid)

- his symbol in my story varies. At first, it was a “finish-flag” because he was Eves goal but somehow I also gave him a cheetah because he is fast. Now I go by a house

- In my very first draft, he lost his little sister but now I changed some things

- He has a wild range of animal facts. Eve always thinks that she knows all of them but then he has a new weird fact

- Even if someone could think that Luke and Eve are a couple they’re not, okay?

- I recently decided to write some chapters in his POV because I had a brilliant idea! * evil laugh *

just write - meet James!

James is 20 years old and approximately one month older than Dean.

He adores his little Sister Jeanette but his parents pressured him so much, that he couldn’t take it anymore. It felt almost as if his parents blamed him for everything that went wrong, even the catastrophes. So he ran away with 18. He took his most important things and left in the night.

He spent a few nights on the streets. Luckily he was still in a safety zone so the weather wasn’t a problem. But the animals were. A small group of raccoons wouldn’t leave him alone and even attacked him. A boy his age helped him and even invited James.

James wanted to stay a few nights, tops, at Deans flat. James didn’t know the boy and felt like a burden but after one night, this feeling changed. Dean made him feel wanted and needed, so he stayed longer.

After two years with Dean, both get kidnapped while working. They woke up with a fresh scar on their temple and were introduced to a few others. James very quickly fell back into his old and introverted self. Dean was still there but James felt really strange. It didn’t help when this new girl, Evette, had a panic attack and Dean kept looking out for her too.

James really hates the implant in his head and this organisation, but everything after the kidnapping wasn’t the worst he felt in his life.

Fun Facts about him: - his full name ist “James Theron Muller” and I remember that one friend didn’t like “Theron” in combination with his personality (but I kept it)

- after knowing there is an implant in his head, he literally tried to scratch it out (it didn’t work and only left a few more scars)

- James has the symbol of rain, because he is mostly a bit pessimistic and not everyone likes him

- after deciding to stay with Dean, he visited his little sister a few times without letting their parents know

- he is afraid of raccoons

- he needs glasses and without them, he is basically blind

- he is really easily scared and he regrets, that Juniper found this out

just write - meet Dean!

Dean recently turned 20 years old but a birthday party feels weirdly odd in his circumstances.

He lost his mother when he was 7. He is sad about it, yes, but his mother told him, that his smile would always bring back the memories of her so he tries to smile as often as possible. When he was 16, his Dad left him over night. To this day, Dean doesn’t really know, if his dad is still alive.

But Dean isn’t a person that’s alone for long. He stayed at the flat from his father and took a job to pay everything. One night, on his way back home, he stumbled upon a boy his age. The boy was trying to scare a raccoon away, but failed. Dean helped him and after learning that the boy, James, ran away from home, he invited him.

Two months before Evette gets captured, Dean and James get kidnapped while working in a vertical farm. They both wake up with a scar on their temple. Some weird guys told them, they could enter someone else’s mind and got introduced to a few others with this ability. It doesn’t take long for them, to think about break-out plan, but need something or someone special for it to work. Evette is just the right person.

Dean is angry at the capture and experimenting but he has to say, that the ability has some perks. And because of the kidnapping, he met cool and amazing people that inspire him.

Fun Facts about him:

- his full name is “Dean Lucas Brewster” (I think, I chose “Brewster” as an Easter egg to a different story but I am not quite sure anymore)

- I chose “Dean” as a name, because I wanted to give him the nickname “Danny”. Now I barely use it :(

- his name and appearance changed the most through my editing years, but now I'm quite happy (give me three more years and I'll change it again)

- he is the first person to meet Evette and build a friendship with her (and maybe more?)

- in every note and draft, he has the symbol of an anchor because he gives stability to those around him

- he loves to give others nicknames. Together with Juniper, everyone gets at least one new nickname per week

Evette is 19 years old and lives in North Carolina.

After the catastrophies, she lives alone in her parents house and calls her best friend Luke, his sister and their mother her family. Together with Luke, they often climb on the roof of the old elementary school and just sit there and enjoy the view (with music of course!)

After Evettes got kidnapped, she has a scar on her temple and the ability to enter memories of other persons. She hates it. When she touched someone, she slips into their mind and it's exhausting, especially when she needs a big hug after all she has gone through (the kidnapping and experiments on her are not the worst she had to survive).

But everything has something good in it, doesn't it? Because of her kidnapping, she meets new friends that she never talked to otherwise. She is more of an introvert after all. Everyone is so different from her, but they can relate to her and she to them. They share history together.

Fun Facts about her:

- in my first first draft, she got the name after approximately 2,700 words, because I wanted to give her the nickname "Eve" (and now I mainly call her Evette, how dumb of me)

- she is the youngest of the main cast and also the smallest with her being about 1.60 meters and Calvin being about 2 meters (she won't grow anymore)

- her full name is "Evette Ambrose" and I have no idea how I came up with the surname (but I like it!)

- I plan a little romance with her and someone else she gets to know during the story

- I gave her the symbol of a candle because I think of her as a cozy person (and I love candles) and it fits well with some symbols of the rest of the cast

- she has a rare genetic called CerebraCrimson-Gen (it gives her reddish hair and was the reason she got kidnapped)

- she hates her eye colour

- she is vaguely based on myself

June turns 20 years old in a few weeks but she feels older.

Junipers dad had a dojo until she was fifteen. She learned many things and joined many courses there. When she was seven, she got her own pink fitness mat. But when they had to close the dojo, they struggled.

With fifteen, June gave fighting lessons to the kids in the neighborhood to help her parents with the money. She didn’t notice this one guy admiring her skills until the catastrophes came. Caden Everett, reached out to June and asked her, if she wanted to join the “Cobra Soldiers” - a group of people who use the chaos from the catastrophes to steal things for money. She hesitated but then joined. She did it for her family but kept it a secret from them.

She learned many things, met interesting people and saw many areas outside the safety zones. Her new best friend Elian was her best teammate and the only one who saved her from drowning one year ago.

June realized how greedy the Cobras were and that they don’t care for someone else’s life. She made her decision and on one last mission, took the stolen money and left without telling anyone. She gave her family the money and made sure that they were safe. Luckily, she never told a Cobra about her family.

Since then, June was always in motion. She couldn’t risk someone finding her. Sometimes, she would enter safety zones to steal some food, but the abandonment buildings around her had enough to survive.

It was really weird when she searched in this old shop for some valued things to trade. She never thought, she would meet four teenager there but after she saw their injuries, she helped them and eventually stayed at their side.

- Her full name is “Junipers Hailee Avens” but almost everyone calls her June

- She has a little brother

- She loves creative nicknames

- A few weeks after joining the Cobras, she dyed her hair pink. She outgrows it, because it reminds her of so much but she is also afraid to cut everything off

- Her symbol are bullets, because she is fast and could be deadly (also she learned how to use a gun)

- She is afraid of drowning because of this one mission. She was left behind and Elian was the only one who noticed it

- She loves energy drinks and has too much energy most of the time

just write - meet Calvin!

Calvin is 21 years old and he never really had to worry about money.

His mother is a big deal in politics. When Calvin was sixteen, she even became secretary of state and her biggest wish was Calvin getting into politics too.

Calvin, who attended a elite boarding school at that moment, was happy for her but he liked making comics with his best friend Tom much better. On weekends, Calvin had to be present at various events for his mother. He even was in some TV shows but he never liked it.

When Calvin was seventeen, his mother picked him up again. There was nothing special about it but his mother was unusually quiet. They stopped at a big building, that looked kinda like a hospital. A few people came out of it and took Calvin in, even when he wanted to fight them.

Later, his hair was gone and he had three scars on his head. Everything was suddenly too loud, too smelly or too bright.

He was there over three years before he escaped with a small group and he still tries to understand why his mother brought him there.

Fun Facts about him:

- he knows very few things about the catastrophes because he was taken before they happened

- I gave him the symbol of a sunflower because he is a sunshine person

- he is the tallest and the oldest of my main characters

- his full name is “Calvin Lincoln Hepburn” and a friend of mine gave him this name (in January 2021 I looked it up!)

- because of his sudden disappearence, his mother said on TV that he died in the first catastrophes. It will be a problem for the group

- he is smart but sometimes it won’t show (sometimes on purpose to cheer others up)

- he often wears headphones too cancel some noise

sᴘᴀʀᴋs, ɢʟɪᴍᴍᴇʀ ᴀɴᴅ ғʟᴀᴍᴇs - meet Floyan

High Prince Floyan Arryn of Livan is 25 years old and is crowned to be king in a few months.

His father, King Arryn Steno of Livan, united the kingdom after a civil war 25 years ago. A really big group was not happy with the way Arryns father and now Arryn himself ruled so they tried to put his reign to an end - but they failed. Over night, three islands appeard a few miles from the coast. No one lived there and King Arryn saw them as a sign from something bigger, so everyone who was against him and everyone in prison got send there. He tried to keep his newborn son safe, but the first few months, he tried to help the Isles to start their life again. When Arryns wife got worried about the criminals, he banned magic from the islands and abandoned it, taking everything, that should support the people there, away.

Now, Floyan has to think about his first action as king. He asked his aunt for advice since she can have visions from the future. Together they saw her vision - his action should be to invite some children from the islands. One young woman with dark red and white hair in particular.

With his parents being not quite happy, he invited two children per isle, for a few months. If it goes well, he will expand his idea and if it doesn't, they will be send back. Since the vision from his aunt, he is thrilled to finally meet this one girl. He is convinced that she should be his future wife and he eventually does many things to convince the poor girl too.

Floyan grew up with magic. He himself is a flame, born with the ability to control fire and manipulate heat, just like his mother. He can't comprehend how the isles grew up without these abilities. Or without the many resources that he got. Maybe he is a bit naïv when Lia and Ryee make things up, like fighting a shark for food or seeing fire for the first time in their lives.

Fan facts about him:

- He was born with his left hand being almost snow white but completely healthy. It's still white but many people love this little flaw about him

- He has read many books, but should go out more - he isn't a rule breaker and the few times he snuck outside, he was found wandering around the streets or visiting small bookshops

- He never truly saw the stars. There are way to many lights in the kingdom to see them. But he did see a few "star showers", a sign that the magic around fire, bravery and new beginnings is becoming stronger for a few years

- He likes sports and can even fight but he never needed it in real life

- He mistakes Ryee for being the captain of the Miststorm II and thinks Lia is the first mate

- He is head over heels for this girl from the vision even if he didn't met her (he later finds out, that this girl is Lia and that she is far away from what he expected)
