Day 2 if @joannehawker's #MeetTheMakerWeek is USP - Unique Selling Point. I think mine is that I hand bind my books in a hard cover. After binding over 300 books, I've gotten the process down to a bit under 4 hours, drying time included (overnighting in the book press to finish not included). My workspace rarely looks like this, often it is covered in fabrics with bits of embellishments to decorate our designs with. Meet the maker week day 3 Where do I work? Well that is a difficult question to answer as I have a craft room upstairs but I often prefer to take my tools and the project im working on downstairs to the living room and work on the sofa in front of the fire and telly. On my bad pain days I tend to work from my bed in what I call my pillow nest. As always I am late to the game on this #meetthemakerweek run by  @joannehawker ! Here it goes!  •Who• I am Danielle Valerie Green! I am an illustrator with a passion for animals and babes. I love my 3 cats Gus, Bruce and Dale Cooper very much and they inspire me everyday. I spend my days in my studio living the dream! I love ramen and watching horror movies or listing to true crime podcasts. I am a huge marijuana advocate. •What• I make all sorts of arts! My passion is watercolor painting. All of my creations are derived from my hand painted art. I turn my illustrations into stationery, various sized prints, enamel pins and brooches! My specialty is cat wears, but I do love all animals so very much. When I am not creating I am working on personal commissions, responding to your emails,, run social media accounts, mailing lists, wholesale orders, play with my cats and take walks with them. •Where, When & Workspace • I am lucky and get to work from our home studio. We moved from our apartment in Bushwick, Brooklyn to our cute little house in Jersey a few years ago. I do not miss the rent one bit. But I do miss the subway. I loathe driving. Usually I work from 7am-9pm. The joys of being a sole business lady boss. I like to work on a clean flat surface. I often tidy the entire room before I can get started on anything. I like to hang art from people who inspire me. I share this space with my husband so I have to put up with some metal posters, otherwise it would be all animal art. When I was a kid I wished my arm hair was fur so bad because I hoped I could turn into a horse or a cat. EY UP! I've noticed I've had a fair few followers since I did 'meet the maker' at the beginning of year, so I'll use #meetthemakerweek to reintroduce myself. I'm an illustrator living in Macclesfield UK, I work from home which I share with my other half @intwosandthrees and two cats. I studied illustration with animation at MMU way back in 2003-2006. Then I spend a good few years bouncing around retail jobs, before I eventually started the ball rolling to what has become my career in illustration. IRL I have a fairly dry sense of humour, hence why I'm not much of a smiler, I'm a real ale drinker, but also appreciate a good whisky/gin. I prefer films and books to tv box sets, 99% of my time I talk about food & my life revolves around meal times (still need to start that food blog) when I'm not drawing I'm out in the wild, I have a personality like a border collie, if I'm not regularly active I get down in the dumps. I love animals and you may have guessed it, my favourite is a fox, something that's pretty much become my trade mark.
