Ok, it seems no one talks about this but I will, i'm talking about TF2 Pyro.

Let's start with their behavior, in "Meet the Pyro" we see that they don't actually know what they are doing, and their own teammates are afraid of them, but it isn't explained why does Pyro see another world, i got some theories

Their mask is full of an hallucinogen drug of some kind, and someone put it there because Pyro was too soft for the work (let's remember that they are mercenaries)

Pyro has some kind of mental illness (i think of psychosis or similar) due to a traumatic experience with fire or a bad injury to the head

Their goggles/mask somehow change what they see, like a VR

Another mistery regarding Pyro is their nature, from what we know, they could possibly not be human, and it said that no one knows the true identity of them, BUT in "Meet the medic" it is implied that the Medic has put the thingy that makes the Med Gun work in everyone's heart, so he probably put it also in Pyro's heart, so only the Medic knows what they are, so we got two possibilities

Pyro isn't human and the Medic just found a way to make the Uber work, but doesn't want to tell anyone about it

Pyro is human, and the Medic thinks it's not that important so he doesn't tell the others about it

The first one is probably incorrect, since we all know the Medic and he would have dissectioned them because science, but it could be correct because maybe he is actually scared by Pyro; the second is the most possible, given that they speak and understand English and they wear fireproof gear, plus they act very human in "Pyroland", well, they act more like a happy child or something but i think you understood what i mean
