Okay, we interrupt this ask session with an observation. Meg and Dia’s most popular song was called “Monster” and a dubstep remix of it is popular on Tiktok. Meanwhile, All Time Low’s most popular (or most successful? Idk) song is called “Monsters” is also on Tiktok. There’s obviously no connection beyond that and Alex and Meg’s ill-fated romance in 2006-2007 that I will never stop thinking about because Alex was SO heartbroken. Anyway. Carry on.

In case you missed the monumental news, beloved indie group Meg & Dia have reunited and returned! And they sure wasted no time in immediately releasing a brand new album upon announcing their comeback. HAPPYSAD is out now via Pure Noise Records. Meg & Dia’s reunion came about after Dia Frampton released her second solo album Bruises in 2017. She started to feel a calling to partner back up with Meg for fresh music instead of focusing on the solo path. Unbeknownst to her, Meg Frampton had been feeling the same. After 8 long years, the sisters from Utah are back together with a great new slice of their indie pop rock in American Spirit, whose video can be viewed above.
