aka. that new mega man comic and my afterthoughts (this to me, is a large shitpost)

First things first, i dont write posts like this often so its formatted and phrased weird. Godspeed
Also Mega Man has been my special interest since 2019 but its been kind of dormant for the past 2 years so i might be rusty. A lot of information here is taken from scanning over the robot master field guide i have. Its currently held together by tape. Apologies
so the premise of the comic is Skull Man, Cold Man, and Wind Man, WHO ALL WORK FOOD TRUCKS, reminiscing about fights they’ve had with Mega Man.
Cold Man was made to be a walking fridge for DINOSAUR DNA in Dr Light’s lab. A cruel purpose to be honest. This, was ofc Before being made into a guard robot by King in MM&B
Wind Man was an agriculture (whateve that is supposed to imply) robot before being made into a combat bot for the whole world robot tournament thingamajig in MM6
Skull Man was made by Cossack while being bossed around by Wily. He is specifically made for combat. Just to kill Mega Man. Thats it
so now that we’ve gotten that out of the way im going into the overanalysis of this comic’s setting and its implications
So with the whole ‘if you dont have a purpose you get demolished and recycled regardless of the fact you are basically a conscious being’ thing first brought up in MM9 right??
and how a lot of robot masters were made/repurposed for combat against Mega Man?????
The three RMs in focus in this comic are the way they are for combat, given how they arent neck to neck wirh rock anymore obviously, they Dont have Anything to do now. They’re not off to fight him here, no purpose.
so what if the reason they got these wildly unrelated jobs was because they just needed a purpose to avoid being scrapped.
It is entirely possible Ring Man works at fucking Burger King to avoid demolition. He was also made just to kill Mega Man. This is so funny to me but i am also outraged because IF YOURE GONNA MAKE LIFE-LIKE BEINGS. CAPABLE OF HUMAN THINGS RIGHT. THEY HAVE EMOTIONS. ARTIFICIAL ONES. THEY EXIST NONETHELESS. with THESE FUCKIN IDEAS YOU GUYS HAVE??

Anyway In the Archie comics (which I surprisingly havent read through entirely) the MM2 RMs get rebuilt and are like “what are we supposed to do now we were not made for anything other than killing blue boy” theres a lot of Feelings about it they have if i recall right. They’re the first to be put in that situation, first of their kind. Very unfair and confusing.
Even that MR MEGA MAN COMIC!!! THAT THING!! I cant find a copy and i dont wanna buy it but. from the blurb i found on the back of my physical copy of the recent mega man comic on FCBD ROBOT MASTERS GET OTHER JOBS. FLAME MAN IS A CHEF. TOP MAN IS AN INFLUENCER.
LONG STORY SHORT a ton of evidence in different pieces of mega man media is leading to the stupid implication that robot masters unable to fufill the original purpose they were given turn to other jobs. Burger King Onion Ring Server Ring Man

This comic shows the adventures of a self aware Mega Man in a world of people who don't believe him (To be fair, who would?)
I plan to update as frequently as possible, so if you like what you see here, go ahead and follow for more!
Also, I have opened asks on this blog, so if there's anything you would like to ask the characters (or me) anything (Mega Man relaying of course, no one else would believe they're in an askblog), feel free to submit those there!
Obvious inspirations for this comic include Bob and George and many other sprite comics of this nature (Of which I hope my knowledge of will allow me to avoid many cliches of the genre), as well as the official Megaman comics.
This space down here usually won't be all that lengthy, but it will feature commentary on the creation of each strip, as I find supplementary material like that to be very exciting!
As an example, this strip (and the following) were actually initally created about a year and a half ago for a sprite comic with a COMPLETELY different concept (You can view that original strip here.)
While a lot of things remain the same (such as the blocking), interestingly enough I actually initially had the other characters (ala Proto Man) completely aware of the fact they're in a comic as well, with the last panel supposed to be some sort of ..universe-reset? (I really had no idea what I was doing.)
I'm very glad I didn't go with that direction for this comic, as it would have definitely been a bit more cliche and boring! I'm hoping what I have planned for this comic will be a lot more engaging and fun, and I hope you stick around to see it!

P.S: I don't intend for the comic to include all that much cursing or edgy humour. I just thought starting it off with Mega Man yelling that was pretty funny.
Dr Wily’s up to no good again! This time, he plans on creating a super race - a cyborg race by fusing that of human DNA and robot DNA! Snakeman took part in this plan, and months later, it’s his job to steal the child he helped create. But there’s trouble ahead! After all, Mega Man’s still around to stop him…And put an end to Dr Wily’s schemes!

Megaman chasing Lucky was pretty funny to me, so I decided I'd continue it here (we'll see how long that joke lasts)
Also, this is probably the most chaotic strip so far, but it actually makes it one of my favorites just because I think it accurately represents a single parent trying to wrangle his sad robot children. Or something.
I have no idea what the weird spot in the third panel is, I just needed a way for all the backgrounds not to look the same for once. I'll probably slowly start transitioning to using Mega Man 7 and similar artstyle game's backgrounds soon.
I'm writing this on WEDNESDAY and this comic comes out THURSDAY so I have no indication on whether or not I'll have something for FRIDAY but I'm trying to get a backlog of strips done right now because I'm about to be pretty busy, but I also find taking a day in between each helps keep the quality higher and lets me think about the story a bit more.
Well, it's the comic's one week anniversary! I am.. indifferent. But excited for the future! I hope you are too :]

We all know someone like this. Some of us have BEEN this person. (myself included)
When transcribing Auto's dialogue from the original comic, much of it was obscured by the sprites, so I just did what I assume I did years ago and pretty much just ad-libbed the entire thing.
In the original comic, Auto just kinda stands with his arms to his side, but when I saw the finger pointing sprite I knew it was PERFECT for this, not to mention the slight bend that happens in the second panel when Dr. Light interrupts.
Also, from now on read Auto's lines in Comic Book Guy from the Simpson's voice. Sorry! Them's the rules.
