I recently went to a party and had a great time! (Which is why you got the filler strip yesterday) Unfortunately, I am now feeling a bit sick and may not be able to update the comic today!! I hope you understand!

Filler - Garfield

Back Next Ah yes, the dreaded filer strip. This is an idea I stole from DisgruntledFerret's "MS Paint Adventures" (He actually started posting them on Tumblr recently, check it out) These hopefully won't be too common, but I know I'm going to be fairly busy Friday and Saturday, far too busy to complete a full strip, so I made this instead. Also, consider these filler strips non-canon. I don't want any plotholes emerging from my shitposts! (In case you didn't know, this is a one-to-one copy of a Garfield strip)

8 - Bail

This comic has probably taken the most time out of any comic so far!

For one, I've switched to actual backgrounds (which I think look quite nice), as well as the Wily Prison sprite and the Light Shrine being mostly custom (I hope they look ok, I'm new to spriting!)

It's currently 1 am on Friday as I've finished this (You'll be seeing it later in the day) but I'm happy I was able to get it done!

This strip in particular will set up a lot to come, and I'm very excited :]

7 - Am I right, parents?

I am definitely a parent and I definitely understand this :] Megaman chasing Lucky was pretty funny to me, so I decided I'd continue it here (we'll see how long that joke lasts) Also, this is probably the most chaotic strip so far, but it actually makes it one of my favorites just because I think it accurately represents a single parent trying to wrangle his sad robot children. Or something. I have no idea what the weird spot in the third panel is, I just needed a way for all the backgrounds not to look the same for once. I'll probably slowly start transitioning to using Mega Man 7 and similar artstyle game's backgrounds soon. I'm writing this on WEDNESDAY and this comic comes out THURSDAY so I have no indication on whether or not I'll have something for FRIDAY but I'm trying to get a backlog of strips done right now because I'm about to be pretty busy, but I also find taking a day in between each helps keep the quality higher and lets me think about the story a bit more. Well, it's the comic's one week anniversary! I am.. indifferent. But excited for the future! I hope you are too :]

6 - It had to happen eventually.. Back. Next.

This is the closest I've ever been between making the comic and actually updating it. Usually I finish the strip the night before and publish it the next day, but I actually got so busy today that I pretty much forgot!!! That Lucky sprite took a bit to put together! It's a modified version of Oppolo's Tango Sprite, with some extra shading done by my friend Wiz, making Lucky look much more shiny!!

Pretty soon (after a couple more strips) we'll be heading into the comic's first actual storyline, a parody of the events of Mega Man 2 (It will likely not be what you're expecting) and I have a lot of cool ideas for that I can't wait for you all to see! Reminder that the askblog is still open (per usual) and that most asks will be made into strips! (I like reader interaction :3) Anyway, that's all for today! See you tomorrow! (Hopefully)

5 - Wait, why would a Robot need a Doctor?

Back. Next.

You might notice some graphical issues in this strip. This is purely due to the fact that at the time I made it, I wasn’t actually at my home computer so I didn’t have any of my spritesheets.

However, what I DID have was the photoshop files of my original comics. All of the sprites in this comic are simply copy-pasted from the previous ones, (see if you can find them all) except Wily, who I painstakingly cut out in a quite innefficent way to put him in this comic. Maybe I’ll go back and fix these sprites once I’m a little less busy.

Despite business, I do intend to keep updating daily! I’ve now written enough of a storyline that should keep me busy for at least a few weeks. (You can see a bit of a teaser in this post.)

While I’m at it, though, I should mention this comic’s asks are open, and that you can ask Mega Man / suggest stuff that will be incorporated into a later storyline!

I should say that tomorrow’s comic has not been made yet (I usually make them the night before) so if the update is late tomorrow, that’s why. I should be able to get it done by tomorrow, I’ll try my best! o7

One more thing, the future storyline will end up being a bit more action oriented! I intend to still do punchlines and keep it light, but I’m planning to start adapting some of my favorite Mega Man stories with my own twists on them.

Oh, and thanks so much to everyone who’s been reading! This comic has gained just a bit of attention and I’m very grateful for everyone who’s tuned in so far! I hope you’ll enjoy what I have planned.

4 - Nerd Rage

Back. Next.

The second comic left Auto and Dr Light alone, so naturally, in his age, he'd say something that would upset Auto the Media Purist.

When I was trying to figure out what they'd be arguing about in the last panel, I asked a discord server for suggestions to make a nerd mad, which then led to a whole other conversation about what KIND of nerd Auto was and what would really upset him.

In the end, I settled on the Jared Leto punchline, which I think is the funniest considering Dr Light could be talking about SEVERAL different Leto performances and Auto would still be pissed.

Also yes, the title is a YFM reference.

3 - The Status Quo

Back. Next.

That corner was a bitch to get right. And it still doesn't even look that good! Also, you might notice the text has a new style here! I've also gone back and retroactively changed the last two comics to have this as well. The reason for this is so it's MUCH easier to read and so that it doesn't get confusing who's talking. (Roll and Blues both have red as their primary color) It's around this strip where I started writing very loose scripts for the comic. You can see the original script here. (I think it's pretty interesting to see the difference between what I conceptualized and what's created) Also yes, that is the MrBeast font.

2 - ZYOOOOM

This comic was also another recreation of a much older one (Seen here.)

We all know someone like this. Some of us have BEEN this person. (myself included)

When transcribing Auto's dialogue from the original comic, much of it was obscured by the sprites, so I just did what I assume I did years ago and pretty much just ad-libbed the entire thing.

In the original comic, Auto just kinda stands with his arms to his side, but when I saw the finger pointing sprite I knew it was PERFECT for this, not to mention the slight bend that happens in the second panel when Dr. Light interrupts.

Also, from now on read Auto's lines in Comic Book Guy from the Simpson's voice. Sorry! Them's the rules.

1 - Not his First Rodeo

And we're off!! Welcome to Lucky Guess, a comic created by yours truly, Lucky!

This comic shows the adventures of a self aware Mega Man in a world of people who don't believe him (To be fair, who would?) I plan to update as frequently as possible, so if you like what you see here, go ahead and follow for more! Also, I have opened asks on this blog, so if there's anything you would like to ask the characters (or me) anything (Mega Man relaying of course, no one else would believe they're in an askblog), feel free to submit those there! Obvious inspirations for this comic include Bob and George and many other sprite comics of this nature (Of which I hope my knowledge of will allow me to avoid many cliches of the genre), as well as the official Megaman comics. This space down here usually won't be all that lengthy, but it will feature commentary on the creation of each strip, as I find supplementary material like that to be very exciting! As an example, this strip (and the following) were actually initally created about a year and a half ago for a sprite comic with a COMPLETELY different concept (You can view that original strip here.)

While a lot of things remain the same (such as the blocking), interestingly enough I actually initially had the other characters (ala Proto Man) completely aware of the fact they're in a comic as well, with the last panel supposed to be some sort of ..universe-reset? (I really had no idea what I was doing.)

I'm very glad I didn't go with that direction for this comic, as it would have definitely been a bit more cliche and boring! I'm hoping what I have planned for this comic will be a lot more engaging and fun, and I hope you stick around to see it!
