Am I the only one who was somewhat unimpressed with how the Young Justice tv show handled Beast Boy's depression and PTSD? Like how Perdita and Megaan tried to pressure Beast Boy to seek help...
I can't explain...I'm probably in the wrong of this...might have to do a rewatch but I also want to check out the comics too because I know comic books get into Beast Boy's depression and I do think that the Teen Titans show did get into it a bit to...sort of
Like Beast Boy's thing is he uses humor to counteract his depression and I actually loved that about him...but I'm also not saying that getting help isn't important. Don't get me wrong. I'm am advocate for that.
But I also think it's up to that person to choose to seek help... not for you to pressure him or point out how he's failing all of you.
At least that's how I felt like Megaan and to a certain extent Perdita was dealing with Beast Boy. Like I'd be on Perdita's side if it showed that she was staying with Beast Boy and trying to support him...not just calling and texting...at the same time as a royal with duties, I get she can't drop everything for Garfield and just put a pause on things. She also has responsibilities which is also kind of sad in a way with her. Perdita was dealt a heavy hand too even though she's not a superhero.
So yeah...idk...
