With her wing folded in at her side, Megaera held her hands together. It was so unlike them to justー talk to each other like this. There had always been something that separated the fury from her sisters in some way. But when a door is opened once, they had become aware that it could be opened again. Megaera looked at her sister and searched her eyes for judgement, if ever or whenever it should appear. And she expected it to.

"We just talked. We sat on his bed and talked... And we were fine. We didn't fight, there was no arguing, we were just... Together. And when I had to leave, we said goodbye. It was nothing more than that... There's no harm in that, is there?"

Small? Petite? Beautiful? Or approachable? She'd ask for specifics but did it really make much of a difference? It kind of ticked her off either way. Meg couldn't say she shared the same experiences when it came to this kind of thing (love, flings, romance, blah-) but what a thing to gripe about.

"I don't know what you're going through at all. But seriously. Being straight forward with your intentions from the start has never failed me before. Know where you stand. Let other people know what they place. Put them in their place if you have to. Or know your own. Save yourself the headache. There isn't a place for kindness if someone missteps. Halfway through her third glass, the Fury propped her cheek up with her hand as she leaned over the table. She stared dead on through her lashes and made a sound to the affirmative.

The shades don’t queue.

I don’t know what to do. The shades don’t queue. Haven’t tried but I don’t think they want to? The disorganised mess doesn’t cause me distress, But it’s funny, I get the feeling that Dusa now likes me less.

I don’t know what to do. I keep going back and forth on this. I’ve asked Nyx and Dusa and got answers that leave the decision back to me. I know that I’m the one that needs to that that step forward, and I want to. I think I want to. But it would be nice to hear someone else say it for me. Then maybe I’ll find that I actually disagree and I can get on with my life.

But it’s been this long already. I hate waiting. I hate being in this emotional limbo. Nothing I’ve done, nothing I do is helping. I want to put myself out of this misery already it’s so frustrating.

He gave me an opportunity, I should just take it. I swear I’ll go insane otherwise. If I end up regretting it then so be it. Blood and darkness.

In her eyes, this was extremely generous. As a nasty Olympian God, honestly he deserved less, but as an act of good will and curiosity as to how long it will take this fresh start to feel anything but fresh. She considered making a sport out of seeing the speed at which he would disappoint her.

People created these parasocial relationships all the time with people they think they knew. An unfortunate side effect of a popularity she’d never sought. How flattering, ego fuelling that so many regarded her as a beauty or a desirable woman. But ultimately, a stranger was a stranger. What they saw of her at any given time wasn’t the whole truth. It was a shallow understanding of who she was.
