People created these parasocial relationships all the time with people they think they knew. An unfortunate side effect of a popularity she’d never sought. How flattering, ego fuelling that so many regarded her as a beauty or a desirable woman. But ultimately, a stranger was a stranger. What they saw of her at any given time wasn’t the whole truth. It was a shallow understanding of who she was.
