I feel slightly bad about thinking this, but I can just imagine Raihan's s/o being the new champion and while the two are making out, he's s/o teasingly says that this is the only thing he'll ever top them in. XD

Raihan sittin there like

What if Raihan's s/o had a dragon type Pokemon that just absolutely hated him. Like, he has tried everything to get this dragon to like him, but nothing works! Then one day he's venting to Leon (or someone else) about his problem, and they're like "Maybe the Pokemon is jealous of you? Maybe it just doesn't like that you're dating their trainer?" And it clicks. Everything finally makes complete sense now!

“I just don’t get it, man.” Raihan said, his forehead resting against the tabletop in despair. “Dragon types always get along with me. Always. But her Dreepy, it... it hates me!”

Leon nodded sagely, popping the last bite of pizza crust in his mouth. “I think I see what’s happening here.”

“What?”

“It’s jealousy.”

“What?”

“Maybe it doesn’t like you dating its trainer. Dragon types, as you know, grow up to be strong and protective. But this Dreepy is still so small, you’ve encroached on its territory before its had a chance to assume that protective role. So it’s doing its best to try to chase you away.”

Raihan lifted his head, realization dawning in his eyes.

“Oh my god, Lee, maybe you’re right.”

The next time Raihan was with you, he was sure to bring snacks as a peace offering to your Pokémon. You were sitting on the couch with him, watching a series on TV, and he started wrapping an arm around your shoulder. Your Dreepy, who had been warily watching from the corners of its eyes, suddenly darted over and squeaked, nipping at Raihan’s fingertips. You were about to scold your Pokémon, but your boyfriend held up his hand.

“Hey, buddy.” He cooed softly, taking a berry from a bag in his pocket. He offered it to the Dreepy, who snapped its jaws in indignation. “Let’s be friends, okay?”

Dreepy narrowed its eyes and looked at you. You nodded encouragingly.

“I’m on your side. I want to protect your trainer as much as you do. So let’s work together.”

After a moment’s hesitation, Dreepy snatched the berry and landed in your lap to eat it. Raihan successfully put his arm around your shoulder and held you warmly against him. Dreepy looked up, but didn’t protest. You leaned your head on Raihan, a soft smile on your lips at the two of them starting to get along.
