I'm pretty sure I got visited by the same anon as you a while ago ... And while I do understand that shipping is or at least can be problematic I think it's very okay to enjoy the fun as long as you don't take it too far aka bring it outside of fandom or don't claim it's "real" or anything like that. Also btw I back up that other anon, just checked out your Neuller tag and it made me happy ^^

What I mean, for a lot of people (including me! I'll happily admit that) shipping is half the fun – like, truly fun, without sexualizing it or anything – so it becoming something 'bad' because people who don't respect boundaries like that? What then provokes anons like this? Is pretty shitty ... anyway.   

I fully agree, it’s all a huge mess. And the main problem, as always, is people taking things too personally/literally/seriously. Not that I’m not taking certain things overly personal, but really, I’ve never really understood fandom wars over ships. It’s a past time thing to ENJOY, not to molest (the) people (in question) with or to thrust down other people’s throats if they don’t agree with you. There is nothing much I could add despite: Kids, respect boundaries.

So this is really random, but I just saw your icon on my dash and it made me smile a lot, because honestly your blog is such an amazing thing - back in the few months I spent in the marauders fandom in my time between my two more permanent fandom homes, it used to be my go-to place for my evening reading, and with your help I could find pretty much everything I wanted. So, just a big thank you from a fan, really <3
