चैतन्य भारत न्यूज शिलॉन्ग. नागरिकता संशोधन कानून (CAA) को लेकर देशभर के कई हिस्सों में पिछले कई महीनों से विरोध-प्रदर्शन हो रहा है। दिल्ली में तीन दिन तक हुई हिंसा के बाद अब मेघालय में भी सीएए को लेकर भी झड़प हो गई है। इस घटना में अब तक एक व्यक्ति की मौत हो गई है और कई घायल हुए हैं। (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || ).push({}); जानकारी के मुताबिक, मेघालय के पूर्वी खासी हिल्स (Khasi Hills) जिले में नागरिकता कानून विरोधी और इनर लाइन परमिट (आईएलपी-ILP) के समर्थन में हुई एक बैठक के दौरान स्टूडेंट्स यूनियन (केएसयू ) के सदस्यों और गैर आदिवासियों के बीच झड़प हो गई। यह बैठक शुक्रवार को जिले के इचामति इलाके में हुई थी। इस दौरान केएसयू के एक सदस्य और एक पुलिस अधिकारी गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए। उनका स्थानीय अस्पताल में उपचार के लिए भर्ती कराया गया।मेघालय पुलिस ने शिलॉन्ग और आसपास के इलाके में कर्फ्यू लगा दिया है।
