DIGIGIRLS: We may fall down but we’ll come back stronger !! ☆
☃️ - to build a snowman together .
"It's -- we tried our best," Meiko snorted, watching as the little snowman's 'arm' began to slide down his body.
Thank fuck I didn't decide to make a kobold, that'd probably traumatize Ga Bu further!
She waved to Ireneve, who approached, then looked down to Ga Bu. He was still muted and trembling, but he seemed very interested in the snow in general. Or maybe she was just projecting that onto him.
"Let's try an' make Alisaie next! We'll uh, get stronger snow."
Ireneve snickered despite herself.
Ga Bu was swaddled from toe-knuckle to ear-tip, his red little eyes smoldering from within the layers of cotton and tweed and knit, flicking this way and that. Partway through the formation of their first ball, she had realized her efforts to keep him warm had been, perhaps, a little overzealous -- thus, her quick journey to deposit a layer or two in Rant's saddle pack -- and, on her return...
The snow-person they had completed was certainly unique.
Their initial foundation had broken up and been packed back together. Meiko's shawl hung off of its uppermost lump like hair. If one squinted, they might make out a pair of Elezen ears and deep-set eyes. Or were those horns? Truly, she could not decide. The one feature that stood firmly at attention were the two globular mounds on the mid-section. Those were, undeniably, recognizable. So, it was... female, then? Or, maybe, they were very impressive pectorals? There were folk of every shape.
"It may be fruitful to seek out some sticks." She knelt beside her adopted ward to lightly brush a palm over his back and smiled up at her friend. "Rant might dig up some stones for eyes, if we ask nicely."
She supposed, she had enlisted a pirate's daughter in the endeavor. Had Meiko ever even made a snowman before? Truly, it did not matter. So long as they were happy.
⭐️ - for my muse to stargaze with yours .
It was fine, right? Remke had admitted interest in her. She was NOT the type to mince words. It was okay. Welcome, even! Yeah? Yeah!
Meiko reminded herself of all the challenges she had overcome so far. This was simple in comparison! Easy, simple, basic!
FUCK now I'm thinkin' like a kobold.
Okay, okay. They were already sitting close. It was kind of chilly outside. Meiko inhaled. Exhaled. Reached out and carefully put an arm around Rem's shoulders, loose enough to be shrugged off if she wanted.
"Stars are pretty tonight," she mumbled lamely, as if covering up her action with casual dialogue.
Rem's dark complexion combined with the late hour had rendered her exposed skin into something like a living portrayal of moonlight. The high points of her face and the curvature of her lips were pronounced with an ethereal shimmer, and the amber hue of her eyes appeared as two distant, smoldering suns, half-lidded with contentment.
She turned that face on Meiko, warm and soft under her arm, and smoothly took the opportunity to sink further into her embrace. Her fingers laced on Meiko's far hip, her own arms a halo of spotless dark around her fellow Viera. From so close, it was difficult not to notice the pinkish undertone of her glossy hair, or the indent at the mid-point of her collarbones, luring attentions further, down to a valley between swells of flesh, a heartbeat -- if only one could break away from those molten celestial bodies.
"Stars are pretty tonight."
"Aye," the woman purred, having adapted little pieces of Meiko's dialect, made so much more eloquent in her mouth, somehow. "It is not often I find myself surrounded by such beauty."
She would not admit how deeply she craved this. Meiko was... skittish. She was pretty and daring, and so damned vibrant, and she wanted so badly to pluck her from the world's agenda. The children of man did not deserve her, did not appreciate the lengths to which she had gone for them. They might even be better for it, to save themselves for once.
But that was not what Meiko would want.
And so, she would wait. She would satisfy herself on tastes and hints. She would steal these moments of bravery, blessedly gifted only to her. She would remember this place. This moment. The stars. The being whose presence made her soul so neatly click into harmony.
She would only have what she was given, and she would wait.
The corner of her mouth twitched, ever so faintly, into a smile.
"May I kiss you?"
Okay, sorry everyone, I needed to do a side-by-side of this scene too bc I’m still cheesing about it.
“We and our partner digimons are exceptional. We’re always connected... no matter what happens. That’s what I believe.”
My favorite part of the whole movie.
