Goldshore ia a prosperous hamlet on the northern coast of Sunbeam. Its buildings are mostly low, stone and timber constructions, and sprinkled throughout are grandiose white stone ruins: broken columns and cracked paved roads from the Second Age. Most of the buildings are dragon houses, the humble kind that consist of a room aboveground and a bedroom or two dug out underneath, an extension of a traditional dragon burrow, although closer to downtown are more sprawling manors and fashionably tall merchant’s homes, several with a private flight patio with carefully manicured foliage along the edge. The town is a port near the mouth of the Viridian Strait, the relatively thin expanse of water between the continent and the island of the Viridian Labyrinth. It's the closest point between the main continent and the Labyrinth island, and has ferry ships between it and its sister town on the Gladeveins side of the strait that set sail twice a day. It holds a market once a week whose most influential patrons are fleece merchants who sell and trade great sacks of fleece gathered from the area sheep farmers to weavers and cloth manufacturers, but the stalls and storefronts sell all variety of everyday necessities and extravagances, both local and from the Tangled Wood and across the strait or from even further abroad. Fashionable trunker-pulled taxis are a common sight.
