Ok, so, I've started following your blog 'cause I'm studying foreign languages as well (aaand I'm Italian, I don't know why I'm writing in English ahah). I was just curious to know how many languages you speak fluently (or almost) and how many do you plan on learning. In University I plan to study Sociology, but I'll try and learn even more languages by myself~ Have a nice day~
Ciao! Well, let’s say that I can speak fluently only Italian (’cause I’m native too) and English. I can read, write and understand spoken German very well but when it comes to speak in German, I still have some trouble after all the years I’ve been studying it. I’ve been studying Norwegian for a year now and I’m pretty good at writing but I’m very far to be able to speak it fluently. Also, I know a little of many language: a little French, a little Spanish, a little Swedish and Danish because they’re quite similar to Norwegian and a little Icelandic because I attended a seminar about Old Norse (from which modern Icelandic is derived). When I say “I know a little”, I mean that in a phrase I can pick up a good number of words and try to understand the general meaning, but nothing more than that. I would love to start Dutch (to complete the main north-european languages) and an Uralic language, Hungarian or Finnish (or both haha). A close friend of mine is Macedonian and I’d love to learn a little of that. Also Sami languages are cool, Afrikaans is cool and pretty much every other language is interesting!
