Rex felt his shoulders tense and just barely repressed the urge to punch something. He tried to take a deep breath, trying to focus on Zak’s words and his kindness. Calm down, he told himself. Calm down… "The last friend I had, I betrayed him and he left. I really don’t think you want to be my friend."

Zak didn't say anything for a little.  Yeah, he kinda sounded like a shitty friend.

           "Well, it's a little too late for that," he said, trying to be light-hearted and friendly. "I'm already your friend now. Congratulations, you're stuck with me."

"Toxic but addicting as hell," Rex reminded her lightly before pulling a packet out of his pocket. He held it up as if to toss it to her but then changed his mind. Instead, he held it up, shaking it slightly as if to bait her closer to him. That way, if she came closer, he’d trap her in a hug, just to prove her wrong about people not liking cold hugs.

"Of course, of course. Whatever you say, Nieve.”

{❅}-- "Ah screw it, you're right. And it's not like smoking so it should be good." Oyuki just shrugged, deciding to ignore the gummy bears' toxicness. It's not like one would get sick because of them. Though, she lightly lifted an eyebrow at the fact Rex had a pack of them with him. "Y'know, might be a better idea putting real food in your pockets before you go for a mission, like a sandwich or something."

Unsuspecting of the set trap, Oyuki went for the guy to take the bag of gummy bears-- Hey, it's not like she wanted the whole pack, she likely would take only a few and let him keep the whole rest. Close enough, she was about to take it. "I don't really wanna the whole pack, you know, but thanks anyway-"
