So you want asks about Spider’s Web Splints and the turtles loves pre Bug Busters?
Okay so:
Does Splinter ever think about bringing up that lost turtle? Does he ever go more hands on in training?
What would the three turtles do for fun? Did they get into any dumb antics as kids that would’ve been preventable if they had someone with common sense with them?
This is over two years old lmao my bad 😭
-But I'm responding now!!! Splinter at first didn't talk about the lost turtle. However, Raph was the first to learn. They were celebrating their "rescue day," and Raph asked why Splinter had an extra set of plates and forks out. Splinter's eyes dulled, lost in somewhere far off, but brushed it off with a weak joke. The rest of the celebration was nice, Splinter even got them a cake!
Then, that evening Raph found him and asked again. Splinter, after a moment's hesitation, told him about another turtle he'd tried to save. He would've named him Leo. Splinter made Raph promise not to tell his brothers until Splinter felt ready for them to know.
Raph may or may not have listened ;)
Training wise, after the trio sneaks out for the first time as kids, he decides if they're not going to listen to him, they should at least know how to protect themselves. He still forbids them from going out, but he has more hands-on training with them. The amount he's involved changes depending on how his depression is.
Some things they did for fun were bowling (Mikey was the ball) Raph's idea, watching Lou Jitsu practically nonstop, swimming in the sewer and sneak attacking each other, and annoying Donnie when he wanted to do literally anything tech related. Raph was often the ringleader or final decision maker.
Mikey almost drowned (and separately broke an ankle), Donnie almost got mauled by a dog during a (secret) surface run for mechanical parts, and Raph fell from 15 feet while holding his brothers (they failed a skateboard trick with three people on it at once)
