Day 14. Picture. Take two. Couldn't help myself. And this went a very different way than I had planned.

Abby smiled bright as they settled into the art studio. Frank tried to look half as eager as she did. Marriage counselling. Reconnect to one another. Do something they did at the beginning of their relationship. So art class. That’s where they had met. Frank was always fairly good and thought an undergrad course would be a nice way to add to his anatomical drawings.
On that first day he’d seen Abby on the other side of the room, strawberry blonde hair and paint spattering on her cheek.
Today was not that feeling.
Charcoal was his preferred option. Abby chatting animatedly to the person next to her. Frank of course, after a pretty intense week at work had gone for the corner. Not in the mood to engage with strangers.
The art teacher gave them a quick rundown on what was expected of them. Respect of the live model. No photography. No touching. If they wanted a pose change ask them. Frank closed his eyes and pressed his earbuds in. He’d always worked better with music or a podcast in the background. He could ear the model arrange herself on the pedestal. Murmuring to the teacher.
‘Okay lets begin.’ Abby turned with a bright smile. Frank did his best to return it before focusing on the woman sitting in the front of the room. Her back to him and Abby. Thick blonde hair swept over one shoulder, bare a few tendrils. Intriguing patterns of moles and freckles up and down her back.
The tattoo was beautiful. Spanning her spine. Phases of the moon with delicate flowers intertwined.
The teacher guided the model to turn her head slightly.
Frank prayed that Abby wasn't looking at him.
What the fuck was Mel King doing being a live model????
Sitting in front of him with only a white sheet pooled around her waist. Her face only turned a fraction but he knew it was her. No glasses. In the warm light of the studio her skin practically glowed. Begged to be touched.
You are here with your fucking wife.
He could absolutely stay reasonable about this. Fiddling with the charcoal in his fingers.
Act like that his favourite coworker sitting a few feet in front of him, almost naked, was a perfectly normal thing. Nothing of note. He was not staring at the curve of her breast that was visible as she stretched carefully. He didn’t know if he wanted her to know he was in the room or not.
Would it be too much for her? It certain was too much for him. Sitting here with his wife and he was picturing himself kissing and licking his way up that tattoo.
Her dark eyes landed on him, flickered over to Abby and back again. Abby was arranging her supplies carefully so she missed the interaction entirely.
Mel’s pink lips quirked up into a cheeky grin. She had the audacity to wink at him. Just as she arched her back just so.
