This was shortly before Richter moved out to start his trainning and studies. The argument had started with Juste’s concern about how Richter idolized their ancestors, how he romanticized the whole thing. Juste just wanted him to realize that it is nothing like he was thinking of.
He also tells Richter to think about himself. His life isn’t all about monster-hunting, he doesn’t have to be just like his clan’s past.
Richter doesn’t want to listen to Juste’s words.
The heated argument goes a bit out of hand, when the subject ends up touching on his engagement to Annete, something that Juste just doesn’t approve at all.
As he says it isn’t the time for that, Dracula will use that against Richter and try get the best out of him.
But of course Richter doesn’t listen to him.
Richter’s final words to Juste would probably be something like:
“And what makes you think that you have the right to say these things? You are the one that never wanted to be a hunter to begin with, you abandoned everyone just to be selfish. I will show you that I will become the greatest Belmont that this world has ever seen. I will make my ancestors proud of me.”
They have never more seen each other. As Richter left to France, and Juste died shortly after of his age. Richter would only find out about his death months later, and even that he wouldn’t be able to visit Juste’s grave.
Not until after the Rondo of blood events.
One of these things is not like the others. One of these things just doesn’t belong~
