Thinking on it, everything is either directly or indirect White’s fault in the series. I love White, but why was the show trying to make us forgive her for that?

Gotta say I like how Yellow is like the scientist, Blue is like the yoga instructor/hippie/counselor, and White is like a politician for the low class. Though White’s power shift is odd, their new roles are weirdly fitting for them.
WHITE.
GODDESS.
I want Blue to become Steven’s therapist

The mind was a fickle thing. Memories, perceptions, they could be easily molded by time and events. But once they were, it took great energy to change them. Some were easier than others. But the strongest and most distinct memories and ideas difficult to break.
White knew this. It wasn’t a power she exercised often, but the times she had, she remembered. She knew which ideas were easier to change, which memories easier to erase. It all stemmed from how close a gem held them.
And this one had been a tough one to manipulate. A traitor with in her own ranks, Iolite.
This gem had been stubborn, and needed a new outlook. White blinked, her power fading. It was done. It had started as a simple inspection and suppression, and had changed to a complete reprogramming when the memories proved too tough, but it was done. The intricate process of creating a new mind had forced her to delay reading reports and sending troops to other sectors, but it was done.
Iolite was fixed for her insolence. Now to see what Iolite thought of this.

‘ i’m not angry with you, just disappointed. ’
“I regret nothing. These pearls make me happy. Unlike some gems I know.”
White blinked as she thought that over. That look and that phrasing, it made her certain Black meant her. It bothered her, mostly because it made her think Black might defect from the empire, but then Black wasn’t exactly violent or confrontational. And White was confident she could pick up Black’s slack.
She ran the rest of Homeworld.
After a moment of silence, “It is not my duty to make you happy. It is my duty to make sure this empire and all its workings run smoothly. The empire’s unity is more important than happiness. Do what you will with the pearls. I’ll do the rest.”
The eyes on White’s ship make everything so much better
tbh I’m not sure what to do with this blog or WeeP‘s now
Since the diamonds couldn’t cure all of the corruption from the corrupted gems, does that mean Centi’s eye was always on her gem, or is her gem being here eye just a side effect of the corruption that’ll never go away?

GOD DAMN IT
Hey guys, there’s more to come! Just an FYI
oh thank god
Did I get them all?
Eh, didn’t like the ending to be honest. There’s no explanation as to why Pink Steven was able to deflect White’s power when Blue and Yellow couldn’t. It always seemed to be Pink was the weakest diamond and White the strongest. Her shield blocked the corruption beam, yes, but I always thought that it had deflected the beam around them, not full on blocked it. Also, does White’s power sap their color, or does it pull their color into her own body? White’s power wasn’t explained very much either, and that bothers me.
Also, to me, White changed her mind too easily. Though, I guess she did say that she felt like Pink and suppressed it before. But offcolors and fusing seemed to be hated before the rebellion, and for White to just change her stance of all of it immediately is way too quickly. No one changes their world view THAT quickly.
They also made helping the corrupted gems a montage instead of actually focusing on it when that was why they even talked to White in the first place! It’s been a goal of Steven’s since Season 3, and to have it done so quickly just feels cheap. It’s been a long-standing desire to see the corrupted gems healed, and then it’s just glossed over without dialogue. We barely even see White react to the corrupted gems.
And my pettiest reason, we never got to see Peridot and Lapis fuse.
I loved the rest of it, the fighting and seeing the Steven fusions was really good! And Peridot and Lapis and Bismuth showing up, Blue and Yellow fighting and then trying to stand up to White, Connie trying to help, the mech! That stuff was all amazing! And White’s speech about perfections and imperfections was also creepily good! But the resolution and ending just felt too rushed for me.
Remember in Bubbled when Steven wondered what would happen if his gem shattered?
