I am back in Portland! I have been back here for about a month now and it feels good. I have been anxiously wanting to write a post now that I am back but I had to wait for my photographer to get home as well. The lag time between Brady and I’s return allowed for the rain to stop, the holidays to happen, and some snow to grace the ground here.

  Now that I am back I do have some thoughts, specifically about the fashion I am seeing in Portland and one of the main things I am already missing about Korea. I have literally no street style inspiration here. Let me explain…

While I was in Korea I was constantly in awe of the way that people dressed. They would try new trends that were fresh from the runways of New York and Paris. People would wear minimalist clothing in ways I would never think of. And men would wear clothes and makeup that I constantly wanted to steal. Now, people with inspiring outfits on that are experimental in a fashion conscious way are few and far between. I understand that not everyone cares to follow the latest trends or try new things, but come on PDX…Where are my fashion people at?????

That said, what I have been pulling out of my closet lately is this denim jacket, a black shirt, and a pair of ripped jeans. I don’t think you can ever go wrong with this idea. A leather jacket will never go out of style.Ripped jeans add some texture to an otherwise monotonous outfit, and a black shirt…Well, when am I not wearing a black shirt. And if you are running around town and cant be bothered to wear heels, throw on your favorite pair of chucks or black Nikes and you are going to get my stamp of approval.

So please tell me guys: Do you know of any fashion bloggers based out of Portland, Portland designers you love, Portland stores you have shopped in, Portland fashion events that I need to go to? Where is all the Portland fashion at. Don’t be stingy, tell tell!
