Perhaps, Alphys had been right all along and he wasn’t fit to join the Royal Guard but in his defense, the fallen human meant no harm and if anything, she was quite nice and caring. This was proven when she showed enthusiasm for his initial puzzles that were outsmarted without losing a beat. Of course, that meant to try harder for the next human (he wished there was a next human, at least. Since he was quick to get attached to his first friend despite this being a human).
Currently, both were in Sunnedout. The hot weather didn’t bother him in the least due being a skeleton but he wondered if it bothered the human.
