I'm now trying to figure out how Mel figures into Reckoning. Like I reckon that by Night 3, she's officially away from Arturo and recovering from the whole 'break the blood bond' ritual, and part of D'Angelo's motives for leaving the city ASAP is to get her out before Arturo or the Hunters show up.
But that means she's spent like four and a half years as Arturo's pet assassin and emotional slave, so now I have to figure out why it took so long to find her, and how that effects her overall. Because the poor girl is gonna have been through a Lot by now.

Mel: *lets Agathon break her blood bond*
Arturo: it was that damn Nosferatu's fault, he must have had her bound to him all along and this was part of his plan to steal her from me!
D'Angelo: *literally has no idea that Arturo sees him as a rival for Mel's love*
Sophie: go help this Nosferatu, it'll help make a good impression with the Sheriff and get you access to his connections
Melisanne: kiss the Nosferatu, got it
Sophie: no, that's not what I-
Melisanne: gonna kiss him so good
when your old coterie gets too close to finding you, so your boss forces you to go kill them :3
