PAUSANIAS AND AGATHON!!!!!
alcibiades cannot sing or play a single correct note when he's drunk. Socrates is trying to save a room full of people from further torture like the national hero he is.
Some girl asked me today if I would love her more if she read Plato, which was very silly because I do already love her with my whole heart but a part of me was like…
would I? 😭
I’ll read her The Symposium tomorrow ❤️🩹
Agathon modern AU obviously is a theater student but the really important thing that we must ask ourselves is what his focus would be. i assume playwriting, obviously. but then is he also taking acting courses? set design? costuming? much to consider. anyway after he's in classes he goes home to his apartment (his and Pausanias's, but Pausanias pays for it and Agathon is just kind of there, controlling interior design also from Pausanias's budget. And he calls it 'his' even though it's not really). Now Pausanias I guess could be a law professor, where he's like 'this is fine because Agathon's not actually my student' (cognitive dissonance, he can still 100% get in trouble but he's trying to overlook that) or he's somewhere in law (attorney Pausanias unfortunately is kind of an obvious AU choice).
So apparently one specific academic from 1934 (and his compatriots) have ONE (1) idea of what Agathon's Anth[]s was about and...
i think that about sums it up, don't you?
Agathon and Alcibiades doing some catching up over cocktails (Modern AU) for @renegadephilosopher :D
I'm curious about the annoying flea, if push come to shove, and Agathon would have to choose between one of his children physical safety (for both light peril/wounds, and possible deadly wounds) and Power, what would he choose? Would that change if he would have to choose between his children's affection for him (so they are unharmed) and Power? And if the one at risk was MC or Asta?
Well, Agathon loves his children. He’s not father of the year but… I don’t think he would go as far as risking any of them (no matter how small the risk) to reach power. He’s not that… you know, like that?
About affection, well, it depends. If he knew he was truly loved by his children, he would never accept that. But if he thought that his children didn’t care about him or like him and only tolerated him, then yes. What would he have to lose?
As for the mc. He thinks they are selfish for wanting two kingdoms (or if they don’t want that, for not showing any support to Philon achieving it) but that’s it. He wouldn’t do anything (intentionally) to hurt them. If there was power at stake… as long as it wasn’t a deadly risk maybe, and I really mean that, maybe he would agree but I honestly can’t see him doing that… at least not without the mc inflaming him first (being mean to the siblings or mistreating him, showing signs of cruelty etc.). He wants power but he would like to keep civility for that… and his family if possible.
