I love the "buff protagonist whose lowkey emotionally stunted that gets shipped with their struggling-pretty twink best friend" trope. but I cannot enjoy it as much as I would've than if you'd kept the girl boss-magical deity who was initially shipped with the buff protag. yaoi is cool and epic, but you've got a perfectly good poly set up RIGHT THERE MAN.
