There's quite a bit of the early series missing because the BBC used to destroy the master tapes before they realized how popular the series was.
I'm not saying that people should watch ALL of Doctor Who, but just I find it ludicrous when people make a fuss over people who skip the Ninth Doctor like if you don't watch him, you can't comprehend anything that comes after.
Doctor Who is very large and if you can skip around in Classic Who, why is it that you can't skip around in New Who? It just seems a fairly unfair argumentation to me.
