A/n: So umm, I don't know if this will work with whatever the hell is going on with my blog rn but here's the next chapter, I may have some bad news but I haven't quite decided yet. Enjoy.

You stand in front of the mirror practicing what you plan to say when everyone arrives. Kenma sits on the bed behind you quiet watchful eyes fixed on you as you repeat the same speech over and over again.

You haven't broken down yet, though your legs are shaky and your voice wavers occasionally but other than that you've stayed pretty solid and that is a feat all in itself.

You think that maybe it's Kenma's presence that keeps you steady. His overall calming aura floats into your brain eases some of the worries that creep into your mind.

Kenma's been up since 9:00 this morning researching this guy. All he's got really is a description of him from you and that he lived in the United States and now he's here.

It's not a lot to work with really but he's Kenma, what more needs to be said really?

Finally 2:00 o'clock rolls around and almost on the dot Atsumu, Osamu and Suna both enter and just a minute later Kuroo and Mel are following suit.

Mel however looks really different. Their long brown hair is gone instead fluffy dark blue curls frame their face. It looks hella good but it is a bit worrying.

Mel only dyes his hair when shits about to go down. Although you suppose it is.

Suna is last and when he comes in he immediately wraps his arms around you. His embrace is comforting and warm as you dig your fingers into the fabric of his hoodie and inhale the scent of his minty cologne.

After everyone is settled you clear your throat. And then run to the bathroom.

You groan as you lean over the sink shame coursing through you. How pathetic are you that you are backing down like this? All over some stalker?

Your phone pings in your pocket and habitually you take it out and click the notification without looking.

It's a message from an unknown number.

What ab the first time you call Mat daddy 👀

we about to sin again- father, forgive me and kali for we have sinned but it’s all mat barzal’s fault! 

the first time you called him daddy wasn’t in a sexual situation. It was morning, you were chopping some fruits and putting them into a bowl while watching a re-run of one of your favorite shows. Mat entered the kitchen with a towel around his neck, water dripping down his torso. He was wasted after the night you two had and when his eyes found your figure wearing one of his jerseys and nothing more he bites his lips before scanning your body and noticing you were using a knife while looking at the tv -not safe!-.

 “y/n, you’re gonna hurt yourself,” he grumbles and you roll your eyes. 

“I’m sorry, daddy,” you mumble now focusing your attention on just one task.

“What did you call me?” his head shot up and you look at him confused. There’s a flush on his cheeks and the way his eyes scan your body you know he’s kinda aroused. 

“You don’t like it?” furrowing your brows you stop chopping the fruits only to grab an entire banana and poke your tongue out before biting it. He just stands there staring at you, rosy face and intense eyes. “What is it, daddy?” 

Mathew sighs before grabbing a spatula from the counter and sit on one of the stools. “Come here,” he spread his legs patting his thighs.

You walk his way, a curious look on your face.

“If you’re gonna call me daddy I gotta make sure you’re my good girl, eh?” he takes the spatula around your body before it reaches your naked buttcheeks. “And good girls don’t provoke their daddies,” he whispers before slapping your skin with the plastic. You wince and your body instantly falls on top of his.

This is the first time you get a noise complaint and a burned breakfast.

just me sending more dad!mat thoughts

today in one of my zoom classes the professors kid showed up and he basically did the whole lecture with his little kid sitting on his lap being cute and making faces I melted

so imagine that with barzy, like he's doing a interview or something from home and his little girl appears and he's so proud of her and loves showing her off because that's his baby girl so he'd put her on her lap (if she wants obviously) and she'd stay there the whole interview even answer a question and giggle all the time and mat can't stop smiling and he'd sometimes place a kiss on the top of her head and she's wave at the camera

omgggggggggggg *heart exploding react* yes! maybe she spent the whole day playing with him and she’s used to being around him all the time since he’s home, but when he needs to be away for a while (still so close!) she’ll sneak into the office and go to him. I think at first she would be all energetic just like him answering questions and pointing random stuff but can you imagine if she falls asleep with her head tucked on his neck because he keeps doing the soothing thing of playing with her hair and kissing her forehead every once in a while. anyway I’m gonna go cry in the corner bye-

all the baby stuff has me so soft!! how would matty be like as a dad or how would he help you during your pregnancy and stuff 🥺

the pregnancy would probably be a surprise for both of you, but matty was over the moon and more protective than ever around you. which means he would always ask if you wanted something, if you drank water, if you were feeling anything etc, he would also spend hours with his mom taking tips on the whole parenting deal that was about to happen in his life. 

he started watching youtube videos about parenting and he even bought some books on pregnancy and children, which means he would always remind you that “hey its better if you eat this in the morning instead of cereal” or “I read carrots are good, so I’m thinking about ordering from that vegan place down the street.” 

when the baby was born matty would absolutely love skin-to-skin contact. he would buy one of those baby wearings and wear your baby around while he was doing domestic stuff or when he needed to run some errands like getting you something from the grocery store etc. 

would talk with them like they were able to understand and would nod and agree with their babbles although he couldn’t understand anything. he would also love storytime and even if he was away he would call your kid and talk to them before bed, if it was during game time or in the middle of the night for him he would leave you a video or a voice record that you would put to your kid and they would be sound asleep in the first minutes because daddy’s voice is just that magic.

matty wouldn’t mind playing with the kids at all, it was actually his favorite time because it was really quality time, either run around  barefoot in the grass or play dolls/cars/building and breaking stuff. he loved it, loved the giggles and even the cries when they fell because he got to comfort them.

he would make sure to either drop his kid at school or get them after because he wanted to be as present as possible

would let your kid sleep between you two after a roadie because he missed them that much 

you and his kid would be his world and he would do anything for both of you

I just read the ask about glitter after a break up so that but turn it soft

like imagine a hockey player mat maybe had a little girl and she loves arts and crafts and all of that and one day finds his hockey gear and starts putting glitter in it and drawing harts and all of that and then mat finds it and he can't be angry bc that's his baby and he loves her and thinks it's so cute so for the next game he wears it no matter what and later an interviewer asks him about it and with the biggest smile on his face he says "yeah turns out my baby girl is really artistic"

(idk if that can acutally happen like maybe it's again hockey rules or something, whatever let's pretend it can happen)

omg yes yes yes!!!! I think it’s okay if its on the inside gears, not the helmet tho. they would ask if she was into hockey like him and he would start gushing about everything she does because “she’s fantastic, she’s learning how to skate, but she can draw and write her name already and she’s been taking ballet classes, her new obsession is art tho” and the journalists are all smiley because mat instantly seemed happier.

I also feel like she would paint his nails and he would forget to take if off, so during the postgame interview someone asks why his nails are painted w green, orange, pink, blue and yellow nail polish and again mathew goes almost five minutes speaking about his daughter because he’s just that kind of dad.

“and that's how your mom fell for me” he’s all smug and you’re torn between laughing or slapping him “that’s not how it happened, mathew!” “It was kinda like this, babe” “no, it wasn’t, don’t listen to your dad,” you tell your son and he’s seconds away from crackling just like barzy, the same laugh, the same antics, throwing his head back, open mouth, the funny sound coming from his throat. you look at your husband and he looks back at you silently agreeing that you created the best human being ever and he’s gonna do great mathew’s advice aside

that would be after her first attempt w paints, he would get her everything, every possible color and try to teach her how mixing up some she would get a different (even tho you told him she was too small to understand the concept). she ended up mixing everything and painting his face and some spots on the ground (which he had to wash later, but it was worth it because you two never hear her laugh that much with something).
