Bruce & Terry lore is crazy and I will never stop talking about it but they have this song "Here Comes Summer" which is unreleased it only appears on the "Best Of" compilation (even though it's basically everything they ever recorded as a duo) and it's a cover of a 50s song by Jerry Keller but it features new lyrics with the stupid surf rock references in the beginning and also an added bridge/verse that sounds like this:

"I've been in school for a long long time reading history

And dreaming of A BOY that I hope I'll find~~

That's why summer means so much to me

We'll go walking down the beach some starry night

Then HE'LL kiss me

And maybe HE just might say "Let's go steady"

And HE'LL make everything alright<3

AND EVERY TIME I HEAR THIS IT'S JUST LIKE THE FIRST TIME I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING because he's (TERRY) singing it soooo passionately and confidently I'm like yasssss you'll get that boy I believe in you Terry

So I was like what the hell did they just record and fully produce a gay ass song for laughs or what or is it a demo for a female artist because they actually did a fully produced demo for another artist, but in the booklet to that compilation cd there's not a word about this song being a demo (or about the new lyrics or anything) it just says they were working on it but didn't finish it or just didn't release it. To make matters worse there's two bonus tracks right after Here Comes Summer one is a commercial and the other is a vocal take by Bruce for another (fully produced) unreleased song and he sings falsetto backing vocals and I SWEAR HE SAYS "OOOOOHHH I LOVE HIM NOWWW I GOT YOU SOMEHOW" MY FRIEND HEARS "I'M LAUGHING NOW" and it makes sense with the song called "Look Who's Laughing Now" BUT I CAN'T UNHEAR IT HE DOES CLEARLY SAY "HIM" and in the full song I swear at some point he changes it "I love YOU now" and the song itself is not even gay or from a perspective of a girl like Here Comes Summer, Bruce just sings THAT for whatever reason. And again the booklet mentions nothing about it.

Whatever the reason may be I still like to think they laughed their asses off recording this because it sounds so gay and the fact that they're best friends in a pop duo one half of which is Bruce Johnston who everyone jokes about being gay does nooootttttt help sorry guys but you're getting shipped you're getting absolutely fucking RPFed you are gay now you have no choice
