These Garlic Butter Mushroom and Provolone Melts Burgers have a lot of great flavors. On top of the juicy burger patties are sauted garlic butter mushrooms and creamy Provolone cheese. The whole thing is served on toasted buns. You can make your burger taste great by adding your favorite sauces and toppings.
Ingredients: 4 burger patties. 4 hamburger buns. 1 cup sliced mushrooms. 2 tablespoons butter. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 4 slices Provolone cheese. Salt and pepper to taste. Lettuce leaves optional. Tomato slices optional. Onion slices optional. Mayonnaise or preferred condiments optional.
Instructions: Preheat a grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat. Season the burger patties with salt and pepper on both sides. Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Provolone cheese on each patty and allow it to melt. While the patties are cooking, in a separate skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Saut for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and browned. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden. To assemble the burgers, spread mayonnaise or your preferred condiments on the toasted buns if desired. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by a cooked patty with melted Provolone cheese. Top with the garlic butter mushrooms and any additional toppings like tomato slices and onion slices if desired. Complete the burgers with the top buns and serve hot.
