I see so many people on dA making simple shit in Metaseq and forbidding edits of it and mandating that others credit them. FOR SHIT THAT'S SO SIMPLE LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE COULD FUCKING DO EXACTLY WHAT THEY FUCKING DID WITH LITERALLY JUST A FEW SIMPLE PRIMITIVES. DITTO IF THERE'S NO TEXTURES. Seriously, whenever I see one of those, I just shrug and do literally exactly what they did inside of an hour.

no matter how simple it is, they did make the object themselves. you can’t expect everyone to be an expert when they first start up metaseq. whatever they make is theirs and they dictate the rules on said object, no matter how simple it is. you’re more than welcome to make your own, yes, but its this exact way of thinking (“i can do better”) that discourages people from furthering their modeling.
what can take an hour for you could take weeks for a beginner to make, and that’s not a bad thing.
i can understand if they’re being snooty about it, but other than that there’s no reason for you to downtalk someone else’s work so badly based on its simplicity

I don't know that much about CH and why people dislike him but I've seen his fans and they're as annoying as pewds. They'll call him the "best modeler in the world" and will tell others to kill themselves if they have a different opinion. When someone doesn't follow his rules, they threaten them until that person deactivates or takes the pic/dl down. However, every single one of his mindless fans will break rules and act like respecting other modelers is uncool or some shit.

I hate how most editors are put on a pedestal and treated like perfect angels but it's always the modeler's fault. An editor made an illegal model? It's the modeler's fault cause they should've known! Someone's selling edits? The modeler should have contacted them to take it down than being rude! They say it's the JMMDC being tried like royalty but all I see are editors getting their asses kissed 24/7 I REALLY WANNA RANT MORE ON THE MMDC BC I'M TIRED BUT I'M SO PISSED I CAN'T SAY ALL OF IT
AND ANOTHER THINg (sorry) I’ve seen mmders like —–, ——, —- and some of my close friends either leaving the mmdc or coming back but you have people still bringing up their pasts AND the people who bring up their pasts are the same ones who have caused a whole bunch of drama in the past but act like it’s different. Like, yeah they all might have been bad in the past but bringing it up now just to look cool is a shitty thing to do especially when you’ve seen them change for the better.
