10:49pm (GMT-3) - Damnit Neal! Damnit man!

Oh, what a rollercoaster of an episode!

The kidnapping, the treasure hunt, the near death experiences (yes, multiple), meeting the boyfriend's parents and finally, finally, everything is fine in white collar land... And Adler is cornering Neal, offering him a deal with more potholes than my fics, and then the entire warehouse just decides to spontaneously combust.

What the hell‽ What the actual hell‽ I knew the treasure wasn't lost, I think I got slightly spoiled that either Mozzie or Alex were the one(s) who got it out before it exploded, but damn!

That whole search-every-warehouse sequence felt like Ant Man & The Wasp's last post-credit scene.

The held-at-gunpoint-nth-edition didn't even get to sink in before Adler was killed. The comfort Peter, Diana and Jones offered to a shocked and scared Neal didn't last 0.2 seconds before Peter's mind already was changed by the Chrysler Building burning painting.

And since it's all a game, Neal will hold on to the treasure, because, since Peter didn't trust his word when he said he didn't have the treasure, he's going to live up to Peter's distrust and damn well keep it.

It's starting to feel like a TV novela, full of quick twists and little moments that shift one character's opinion of another in the blink of an eye. Don't know if I like it.

I'll keep going anyway.

Little moments that I loved:

Neal's scared face when the limousine's door was opened and he saw Peter out there;

Peter's face when he spotted Neal...

Neal being the last to wake up from the sedative because he's susceptible to this sort of thing and Peter, knowing this, allows Alex to slap him;

Neal and Peter working together to get the submarine open, knowing each other so well that they didn't need to say anything for the other to know™;

The whole Sara and Alex conversation, with Jones and Neal watching;

Neal's startled face when Peter invited Sara for dinner too! 😅 😂

The ✨awkwardness✨ of being forced to sit together and pretend to be civil while denying that there's anything else going on between them;

Elizabeth and Peter. Them. Just them.

It was all worthwhile even though the pace felt a bit like watching Thunderbolts*... if you know, you know.
