Ömer 2.16
So we've got Taub's actor in this now
They live in 221?! Hmmm, where else have I heard of a high functioning misanthrope and his best friend living in flat 221?
Okay, remember when interviewed for the video that was going to be played on Lizzie's funeral, Wade said he didn't know why Lizzie had put a barrier spell and trapped the Gargoyle inside the school during 1×03? I have a theory.
Lizzie was being hunted by a monster, possibly a powerful one. She knew based on the episode's previous events that if the Gargoyle was out free, even more people would get hurt and probably die. She barely had time to utter one spell and that was the barrier spell. Why?
The answer is simple; She wanted to protect people. By placing the barrier spell around the school she knew she would be trapping the monster inside with the students, but the students had supernatural abilities and would have more time than Lizzie had to prepare a defense or offense strategy or hide(like they did). The humans ouside the school, though, all those humans in Mystic Falls, whether they were or weren't aware of the supernatural, they had less chances of surviving. She knew the Salvatore students would be able to protect themselves and would take care of each other, but the humans were basically helpless.
She could have cast an offensive spell(that probably wouldn't work), or another one to protect herself, but during what could, as far as she knew, be her last moments alive on earth, Lizzie Saltzman chose to sacrifice herself to save everyone else.
I don't care if other characters called her mean or heartless. Lizzie was hurt and was going through a difficult period of her life that she didn't yet know how to handle, so she lashed out first, because she knew the rest of the school were going to be assholes about it(Penelope, Alyssa etc.), but she still loved the school and everyone in it and couldn't bear the thought of people dying when she could have done something, so she did all she could to keep them safe. The rest of the students were just too focused on everything bad they perceived she did to them and ignored or were simply oblivious to how far she would go to ensure their safety.
Lizzie is one of the most caring characters on Legacies and no one can change my opinion.
I'm once again crying about a show I said I wasn't going to get emotionally invested
I can't believe writers who wrote Mary Andrew's dinner scene, wrote some of the worst storylines that lasted a whole season or a one episode. #wow #shook
