Imgflip is a GREAT website for those of us you don’t have dedicated image editing programs, it hosts any and every meme--even obscure ones. You can also upload images, and yes that includes transparent pngs to layer over existing memes. Interface is super easy to use.

The only downside to this website is the fact that they post a small watermark on the bottom of the meme. In most cases you can just screenshot the meme before you publish it or crop it out later. Other than that, this website is perfect!

tip: On an individual meme’s page, it will give you the original dimensions. Right chick and check view image if you want to full size to edit in another program.

I’ve never used this website, so I can’t vouch for how useful it might be, but it does have some templates, and an interactive in-browser editing program. Looks like you can layer images (including gifs and transparent pngs), crop images, add text, audio, video and other fun things. Worth messing around with at the very least.

This website also has a watermark, but sign up removes it and payment is completely optional.  (again, you can always screenshot the image before you publish, which is what I do)

Reddit may be full of foul people, but it’s a GREAT place to find funny tumblr posts. These are great if you want to add the text to screenshots or make incorrect quote posts with visuals. I’ve found that scrolling these subreddits is much faster than searching tumblr itself. (also this is a great resource if you make those “X Characters as Tweets/Text Posts”)
