Do you have a routine for writing?
either i’m at home with my laptop and a beverage (coffee in the morning, wine anytime else). the music isn’t on, because i can’t write to music. i do most of my writing on the couch, but i do wish i had a separate writing space.
or I’m at a cafe. my favorite writing cafes have good food and good coffee, which makes them difficult to find because usually those are pretty crowded and a little too trendy for writing. luckily i found a great place not too far from me. i wait to get my computer out until i’ve got my drink.

What’s your favourite kinks/tropes/pairing?
tropes: i love fake dating, mutual pining, bed sharing, enemies to lovers, time travel
kinks: fighting as foreplay, asphyxiation, bondage, tentacles
Do you have a favourite fic of yours?
not really. my favorite is usually the most recent thing i’ve written lol. and then it’s on to the next
i am particularly proud of last year’s leverage exchange fic, Solicited Noods , because i managed to work the bare bones of a case into the plot, and also it was my first time writing from parker’s pov, which i was nervous about. (also i’m always happy to contribute to the peggy/quinn tiny rowboat ship)
for shadowhunters, i’ll always have a soft spot for my first fic anything worth doing right because it dragged me into writing SH. also who doesn’t need more naked alec in their life
Your fic with the most kudos?
My Leverage fic Things Best Kept Between Three People . Apparently it ticks all the boxes for the fandom. ot3 getting together, competence porn, and actual porn. one of my (sadly) few explicit fics these days
Anything you don’t like about your writing?
My beginning always feel wobbly until the fic smooths out. I have a tendency to end the story too abruptly. I’m not good at plot. I’m a very ‘tell it like it is’ writer, which means all that gorgeous flowery language, atmosphere and metaphor that I admire in other people’s writing in a no-go for me.
Now something you do like?
I think I have a decent handle on characterization. I’ve been told that my ideas are a bit different and unique, which makes me very happy.
