HOW I RUN MY BLOG.
SPEED: it really depends. my queue posts once each night because i often write in bursts, where i’ll write a ton of replies over a few days and then nothing for a couple weeks, rinse repeat. on the other hand, if i’m online and i have muse and a full queue, i may post replies within an hour. so it’s generally between like. 1 hour and 2 months.
REPLIES: i match length within reason, but it’s not my first thought when i’m writing a reply. for longer para stuff, i usually go through a process of writing dialogue and then filling in the rest, or maybe writing a certain line of internal monologue if that jumps out and me and then working from there. i write how i think tony would react. then i go back and make sure that the reply is moving the thread along and giving my partner enough to work with. my main intention with writing is usually to evoke Feeling, whether its angst or fluff. as for formatting, i tend to match my partner but my own default is un-capitalized smalltext with the odd bit of emphasis here and there.
STARTERS: loook i so rarely post starter calls because i SUCK at writing unplotted starters. without some kind of direction or setting i struggle, because i like to write a starter that’s actually going somewhere? i don’t need like, a full plot to work with but a setting/time period/theme helps me so much. this is why i tend to post plotting calls rather than starter calls.
INBOX: i am super bad at replying to stuff in my inbox. i try not to reblog memes unless i actually have muse & time to do them because otherwise they’ll likely sit in my inbox for months. i think with memes i often have the same issue as with starters --- i am super bad at deciding a direction/setting without some discussion. but then some memes i can get an idea for straight away, so it’s just sorta dependent on muse really.
SELECTIVITY: i am selective. usually if someone follows me/or when i go looking for new blogs to follow, i look at someone’s writing, their characterisation, headcanons, the sort of plot they write on their blog, and decide if i think our muses would align well together. as i’ve been writing tony for super long on this blog i’m really stubborn about certain headcanons etc so to save us both pain, if i think our muses won’t click together, i won’t follow. and there are some characters i won’t follow for personal reasons, and like. gore or violence/murder/dark-theme heavy blogs? are really not my thing.
WISHLIST: moar angst. honestly it’s hard to say because i’ve written so much over time that there’s not much left on my wishlist. um. i’d love to explore some of my AUs a bit more, with more characters. i will always want to do more NA tony stuff. and time travel plots are always my jam.
HONEST NOTE: i am super bad at reaching out to write with new people, partly bc social anxiety yeah, but also because i’m always like ‘i gotta work on these drafts FIRST and then i’ll reach out to new people’ and i have like. over 100 active threads so the chances of me actually getting to <5 drafts is minimal. i want to write with more people because more plots and angst is always. so good. but i’m also scared of overwhelming myself
