SPEECHLESS  WOULD  BE  AN  UNDERSTATEMENT.     at  first,  it  was  infuriating —   to  have  someone  disrupting  her  temporary  peace  (until  another  battle  would  surface),  specially  when  she  just  got  the  nerve  to  fly  off  new  asgard  and  visit  the  remaining  heroes  in  new  york.     however,  it  would  be  outrageous  to  admit  brunnhilde  wasn’t  amused  by  harley’s  appearance.

it  was  a  game  of  hide  and  seek.     different  nights,  different  bars  &  different  rooftops  to  stargaze  upon,  and  somehow,  the  whirlwind  of  emotions  that  harley  embodied  would  find  a  way  to  make  the  valkyrie’s  apathetic  facade  shatter.     now,  she’s  entering  the  hotel  room,  and  her  face  drops.     is  this  what  all  terrans  do  with  their  free  time?     was  harley  quinn  a  stealthy  lady  who  would  crash  into  her  hotel  room  at  any  minute?

“i...     would  like  to  assume  that  is  not  blood.     is  it?”

            penny looked over at baby, “ thank you. ” her gaze is earnest to make sure  the woman know the magnitude of what she had done. “ what you and your father did -- i just can’t thank you enough. ” there’s a sense of shame in the words, that do not feel like they belong to her. shame for trusting the wrong man, for trusting an imperfect system, how the houseman family had opened doors for her that would have otherwise been closed.
