KITCHENER RANGER WON LETS F-CKING GO THEY ARE OFF TO THE MEMORIAL CUP!!!! 🏆🏆🏒
Last game of the year that means anything and everything! Stanley cup I will watch starting at elimination games, but this my friends is THE MEMORIAL CUP! Hardest trophy to win in all of hockey. And if the Pats so it, they deserve it! #GoPatsGo #CHL #WHL #juniorhockey #reginapats #princesspatriciascanadianlightinfantry #memorialcup #hockeyseason #hockeyinmay #hockeynightincanada (at Regina, Saskatchewan)
Someone is taking a break from studying. #gopats #whl #memorialcup
PROCESS
I take a lot of photos and select relatively few for a particular use. After the intended use I usually send a submission to Agefotostock (Age), an agency based in Spain. They make selections based on which images they think will likely sell. (Their choices often surprise me.) The selected images are exclusive to Age for distribution but I can use them for my own use. Over time a photo or two from one shoot ends up in a larger project and an exhibition or book dummy idea starts to form. I can see what I shot, what is missing, and then get the missing photos. I show the work to friends, clients, and partners. I apply for grants and other support. Based on those outcomes, I decide to print and exhibit or abandon the project. (My office and computer are cluttered with many abandoned projects.) Projects that get finished--shown to the public--are rare and bring the most satisfaction. Any number of mentors tell me, just finish the project! They are so right. Finish the project,be happy.
ABOUT THE PHOTO
“Crowd photographing the Memorial Cup trophy as it leaves a ship, Windsor, Ontario, Canada, May, 2017″. Age submission number 1704972. File number MAD20107015D0755. This is part of the “My Memorial Cup” series which in turn is part of a larger project about public events in Windsor. I feel this is one of my better shoots in a long time. I promoted the set on various social media, got no hits and submitted it to Age. I am interested in seeing if Alfonso, editor, general manager and owner, selects this image. One of my favourites--at least for now.
Look at all the happy boys!!!!
