Milton Konvitz Memorial Lecture Posters
With the Fall 2025 semester starting in just 20 days, we remember Milton Konvitz, one of the founding faculty of the ILR School. Konvitz is perhaps best known for his American Ideals course, which he taught to more than 8,000 students over the course of his career, never giving the same lecture twice. His last lecture was on December 3rd, 1974. Konvitz also was a founder of the University's Department of Near Eastern Studies and Program of Jewish Studies.
ILR hosts an annual Milton Konvitz lecture including presentations by esteemed individuals such as Sandra Day O'Connor (Retired Supreme Court Justice) and Wilma Liebman (Former Chairman of the NLRB), as well as professors of Law Akhil Reed Amar (Yale University) and Charles J. Ogletree, Jr. (Harvard University).
