⋘✦⋙ The city was getting a little boring the longer he stayed put. Honestly it felt vexing just to try to get something done, and even messing around with the city folks became redundant. Displeased expression etched on his face, it took effort in of itself just to keep his mouth from opening wide into a yawn. Eyelids opened and shut in a slow manner as he glanced around from his sitting position on top of a pile of crates. Perhaps it was about time he packed up and moved. At least he might get out before anyone discovered his little secret.
Vivid yellow eyes landed upon a figure he couldn't recognize. A new traveler? That might just liven the city streets to accommodate for someone new. Brow arched as he thought over disturbing this figure he watched from up above. In the end, a small smirk dripped with a more mischievous glare in his eyes into his once bored expression. Using a small pebble, he tossed it at the other before waving.
❝ Ciao! I feel fairly obliged to inform you that... I don't feel you're quite meant to be here. ❞
This is probably really late but ... Red string of fate
39. Our muses are destined to fall for each other whilst stargazing on a camping trip. [Aww, that’s cute.]
Ada laid back in the grass with a tired look over her features. The twilight was greeting her with it’s sparkling stars at this point. She was absolutely exhausted from what the two of them were put under, but by this point — they simply talked. They laughed on occasion, but for the most part it was just some simple chatter. Ada’s voiced her current fears when she’d return home and how she honestly never expected making a friend out of the mistakes she’s made.
Ada referred to Traum as her pleasant mistake because he was such a surprise. Not once did she think she’d be able to find a friend under her current circumstances and in the midst of her hectic schedule? It was almost impossible. Yet he practically fell into her line of existence and that alone was more than enough.
Sitting up from her spot in the grass, she reached her hand out and gathered one of his into both of hers. A smile erupted on her face while she spoke so highly of all the recent occurrences between them and how she insisted that Traum should meet her brother. “I mean, you are important to me too — so why couldn’t you two meet?” her gaze went to scan for any response over his face. “After all, you’re both the most important people in my life.”
And that was when Ada felt a notable pang in her heart. Her grip tightened — just a tad — around his singular hand and she immediately ducked her head. “I- mean..”
He was bound to reply, she knew he was, but the thing was —
She woke up.
…It was all a dream.

He isn't lost. No, no, no. A child was lost, and Gareki was a finger snap away from kicking the kid once he was found. He turns his back for a second -- maybe two at the most -- and now Nai was lost, probably fooling around in the nearest town. Wherever that was. Gareki hadn't visited this town before, so his chance of searching down Nai himself and bringing him back by sun down was slim.
One might think he was over reacting, but really, this wasn't the first time this had happened. And each time the damn kid got lost, something bad happened, and it usually involved some sort of monster hunting the child down.
A sigh filled with agitation slipped through his teeth. Gareki never agreed to babysitting and he certainly wasn't one to ask for help. But he was on the verge of desperation and so that left him no choice.
"Oi," he muttered, attracting the attention of a strange. At least there was the option of requesting help from a stranger. It wasn't half as bad as asking someone he knew, or worse, someone who recognized him. He can't afford getting caught and in trouble with Security Force, not in the position he was currently in.
"You seen a kid with white hair? Red eyes, maybe twelve?" What a description. What else was he supposed to say? All kids looked the same to him, honestly.
