My unpopular skating opinion is that instead of allowing women to jump quads in both programs, for equality they should forbid them for the men too. Then they might stop looking like two blocks of wood taped together and focus on artistry. I only give half a shit if they do three or four rotations, and I would like them to start serving instead

I'm so glad I was able to avoid all spoilers for this extremely chaotic™️ Skate America men's event. I wouldn't want to miss all the heart attacks it gave me and the drama starting from delays to horrible falls and surprise victories.

I'm happy Kazuki managed to stay on the podium despite that disastrous free skate. Kazuki is a beautiful skater and he seems to be the kind of personality who needs to finds the sweet spot between calm and chaos for his skating to be consistent because then his beautiful will become amazing.

I'm happy that Misha is still in contention for the GPF and I'm happy Kevin kept himself together and won his first SkAm.

I would have loved to see Jason on the podium because he deserves the world and he has such quality, but there were too many mistakes creeping in.

And Corey! I loved his skating when he was still competing for Canada, and it was so good to have him back. Even if he hasn't the technical content of the others, he's a joy to watch with his elegance and performance skills, I want more opportunities for him to show his talent on the big stages.

come to think of it, the most unrealistic thing about yuri on ice is how shallow the men's field in japan is. they have one (1) top japanese male skater and the apparent peak of his career, by the beginning of the series, was qualifying for the grand prix final? sorry, i dont buy it lol
