yeh with tangled so many scenes reminded me of a painting in motion with its details, colors and textures. frozen looks so unfinished in comparison. it's no surprise it was in production for only 2 years compared to tangled's 6.

maybe it was because it was supposed to be 2d at first, and then they scrapped that? and the entire plot they were going to do

i mean, it was entertaining, but it was complete shit by disney standards, in every way possible. in character design(I DONT CARE WHAT YOU SAY, YOU DON'T LOOK EXACTLY LIKE YOUR MOTHER AND SISTER), the costume design, the songs, the details

it all just fell flat

i'd expect that from a smaller studio, but not disney

the opening song is inspired by sami joik, and it’s really beautiful (although i wish they used actual sami people for the chant). and yeah so many scenes are so underwhelming compared to the music and emotion from the actors. :

it was just so boring

and i just remember brave and tangled coming out, and there were all these beautiful things they put in, like 'oh look how realistic we made the hair' and all that, and they thought so much about it
