The mistakes on the opening two jumping passes... but otherwise a gorgeous program from Jason Brown of the US. It’s going to be close. I don’t know if it’s going to be enough; he will get higher PCS scores, of course, but those mistakes are going to be costly. I don’t know. It should be, but I don’t know.

Such a shame about the two popped jumps, because otherwise... this is such a good program? I mean, the choreographic details, the spins, the step and choreographic sequences... I am not always the biggest Nathan Chen fan, but... this program is just so good.
187.98. 299.15, and into first place.
Nathan Chen wasn’t perfect, but he still managed to win Skate America by about 24 points. Vincent Zhou captured the silver medal, and Keegan Messing of Canada took the bronze.
I think the problem is that Daniel Grassl’s PCS were scored as a junior skater (which for the most part he is), however - I don’t think he skated like a junior, and I don’t think his PCS should have been scored like one.
