A Day to Myself

I want a day to myself.

When I can wake up 

Without expecting to see

Recognition flash.

So I can hear

Air that isn't filled

With the toxins they exhale.

Where I can touch myself

Knowing that I won't need

To wipe their filth from my skin.

In which I can smell

Something that doesn't burn me

From the outside to my core.

So air that isn't rotted

By the trash they spew

Can glide across my tongue.

I need a day to myself.

To stroll a concrete jungle

Taking in everything

Through my own lens.

Because I want the

Sound of a waking city

To shadow me as a lover.

So I can carry the world

Feeling its weight

With my own hands.

Where I can float across

The gales of heaven

Wafting from the flowers.

So I can drown in the sea

Of molten exquisiteness

Sipping a cup of liquid ambrosia.

I'd love a day to myself.

Maybe I'd let you join me.

Summer Days

Hah..... I've less than four days. This truly is my last, isn't it?

Thank you, summer. I want to thank you for all that you've given me. 

My heart has finally come back.

I'll smile with the sun I was born from.

So..... I want to do something special for that last day.
