she's been knocking for what feels like ten minutes already. unfortunately, she was maeve, and she wasn't leaving without an answer. out of PURE DESPERATION, she tries the knob and is genuinely surprised the door opens when she gives it a push. “idiots,” she mumbles as she closes it behind her, wandering through the apartment in search of the bedrooms. she throws the first door open, sees a stack of books, and immediately knows it's not kai's. she isn't kind enough to close it, instead, moves onto the next room. behind that door is … a mess, which could very well belong to kai, but she doesn't recognize any of the belongings. there's one more door to look behind, so she pushes it open and leans against the doorframe as her eyes look on the man she was looking for. he hasn't seen her yet, and he's got a pair of headphones on, but she was in no rush. it'd been six months, what was a few more moments ? he'd see her eventually. besides, the possibility of frightening him was seeming EXTRA FUN the more she thought about it.
